Star-Crossed Lovers End in a Tragic Death

Author: Adriana Osoy

Introduction
Montague vs. Capulet in the city of Verona, both alike in royalty. Hating each other for historical reasons. Their two loved children Romeo and Juliet, Montague and Capulet, with a secret passionate love, ended in a tragic death blamed on the rivalry between the two households. Deeper in the story seems as it was a fairytale but the deeper we get, the more mysterious it seems.

Romeo’s Profile
Romeo, who was a victim, was heir of Lady Montague and Montague. As a 16 year old boy, his personality reveals he was a smart, sensitive, somewhat immature and seems to be in the middle of the feud between his family and the Capulets. Of course he isn’t interested to get involved with the whole "fight". His close cousin, Benvolio, says "he was once in desperately in love with Rosaline" who is on the side of the Capulets. Benvolio thinks it wasn't "love". Sadly the relationship faded and left Romeo with nothing but tears on his cheeks. Mercutio, a close friend, said he had lots of freedom to go around the city, so Mercutio thought since he had freedom it would be easy to try and to get him to forget Rosaline and crash the upcoming Capulet party.
Where he meets the young, and beautiful Juliet.

Juliet’s Profile
The next victim was the young and beautiful, 13 year old Juliet. She was the daughter of the Capulets and didn't have much freedom to go around the city like Romeo did. She was always in the house raised by her nurse, who she was really close to and associated with her the most. The nurse tells us, “She was very naive and was a bit in blank when her mother asked her if she has ever thought of marriage or love. Juliet responded that she had very little thoughts about falling in love with someone.” Her parents were planning for her to marry Paris, a man of the Capulet party. The nurse also told us she never spoke to Juliet after she turned against her beloved Romeo.

Capulet Statements:
We tried to go deep into Juliet’s background, and who’s to know her better than her nurse? We talked and what she had to say seemed to put a lot of affect on the nurse. Nurse: “From my point of view I think both Montague and Capulet should’ve set things strait since the very beginning! Who cares for what their ancestors did in the past, because of the hatred between them both it caused them their children’s lives. I don’t know about you but I think it’s cruel to have your children and/or child to pay the consequences for the stupid mistakes the ‘parents’ did. You call yourselves parents? If you’re really parents you would at least talk to the girl about what she’s thinking and maybe you could settle down a bit to make her happy!”

Montague Statements:
Benvolio, Romeo’s closest cousin, didn’t have to say but he was the one that spoke the most, so we figured to put his opinion. Benvolio: “Well first thing I can say is Romeo was too much of a good person and didn’t deserve to be punished like this. Ending his life because of a secret love between both households, but what has me thinking is why did they still hate each other after so long? It doesn’t matter if they hated each other back then! The past is the past and life must go on. I’m more disappointed in the parents for not actually being parents. Real parents don’t just let their kids roam the street to do what they wish. I’m not saying it was wrong for Romeo to love Juliet, I’m saying both parents didn’t pay attention to their kids so they did everything behind our backs and expected things to be better from that point on... but things went the complete opposite.”

Consequences!
The prince has decided to put Lord Montague and Lady Montague, Capulet and Lady Capulet, on trial for the deaths of their kids. For not being the parents they should’ve been since the very beginning. Thanks to both sides of each household, Nurse and Benvolio, the prince has looked at both stories and both stories match on what is said to “not being good parents”. Now both families left with no king or queen nor prince or princess. May Romeo be with his lovely Juliet and may Juliet rest in peace with beloved Romeo.

In my stance I'm clearly against euthanasia, because the way I see is what dignity do they have? To me, I think its like abortion. Why slough someones life away? It's no use. For example, if someone were to be in a coma, they can't speak for themselves. What if they still wanted to live even if the coma didn't last long. It is like murder. But an exception ould be like in the article of an Italian father being accused of murder. It states that "it was his daughter's wish." If they tell you they don't want to live anymore then obviously they don't want to. But if your the one making the decision for them, don't "kill" them. I can relate to this, not personally but my friend Denisse has experienced this with one of her friends named Dave. She got a phone call from her Dave's parents saying he was in a car accident and was in the hospital on life support. Dave reluctanly dying made a phone call to Denisse telling her about his parents pulling the plug. They didn't know that was going to be the last time they would talk. Dave was pronounced dead the next morning. After the funeral Dave's parents with pantomime expressions were given pugnacious looks since they decided to "kill" Dave. While Denisse keeps droning to herself softly "what kind of parents would let go of their son's life?"

"Mercy" Killing?

1a. From George's perspective, I think that in a way he did have a reason to kill him because, maybe he didn't want to see Lennie struggle any longer. Maybe he thought to himself "What would happen if Curley got a hold of him first? How badly would he have treated him?" I also would of thought that it's better for himto rest in peace than to stay alive and be treated way worse.

1b. I personally don't think what George did to Lennie was the best thing to do. He could've decided to go with with Lennie's idea of running away. They can go find another job and George could've atleast try and teach Lennie what's right and the more he learns maybe he won't forget.

2a. Recently in Italy a father was investigated for his daughter's"murder." Docters were told "...to allow his daughter's feeding tubes to be removed, saying that was her wish." In my response I think if that's what his daughter wanted or if that would make her happy then he should've done it. What more could a dad want then to make his child happy?

2b. To illustrate "...saying that was her wish," I would think that was most likely the best thing to do to her. The qute says that "it was her wish" to get her feeding tubes removed.

ULTRA-Lord Of The Selects

1a.
1b. My Ralph is going to be Johnny Depp. I chose him to be my Ralph because he's a great actor and really gets into his character. He seems to really sink in to what his character is, he goes beyond the character role. He brings them to life. Johnny also came out in the movie Pirates Of The Carribean in which he came out as a capyain on a ship, Ralph is cheif on the island. Johnny isn't your average actor, I guess you can say he's more than what's expected and every director would love to see the character come to life.

2a.
2b. For the role of Jack i chose to put Squidward. I put him for this role because in the series of SpongeBob SquarePants he always seems to want everything his way. He always thinks his way is better. To me he seems almost like Jack, except for the fact that Jack becomes a hunter and Squidward is just cranky almost 24/7. He doesn't seem to be friendly person (or squid) to evryone around him except people that are "his people." Just like Jack, he will go against anyone that aren't his hunters.

3a.
3b. I chose Chicken Little to be my Piggy because he's little and people around him such as friends, parents, the whole city etc. don't ecpect him to accomplish anything because he's so tiny looking. Same with Piggy; in the beginning Ralph thought Piggy couldn't be able to do anything because he's chubby and people judge him by appearence. He stars in the movie Chicken Little and as a small

4a.
4b. My Simon is going to be Michael from Peter Pan. I chose for him to do the role of Simon because he reminds me so much of him. They almost look the same and their characters are alike. Michael plays a little boy in the movie that doesn't have a clue on what's going on untli someone tells him. Simon is a very quiet little boy that just goes by what other people tell him. Again I go back to Michael that doesn't have a clue; Simon always has this little what's-going-on look. I guess you can say its a perfect match!

5a.

5b. I chose to put Sheen as my Roger because he is the complete opposite and it would be funny to make him play the role. And by the way he is it would really change the story up a bit; put a little fun and craziness to the movie. As an average person in The Adventures of Jimmy Neutron Boy Genius he adds a little fun and humor to the show. The movie doesn't have to be all serious. It could change to add a little something to it.

6.

Pumba is my "beastie."

7a.
I chose to put this lighthouse because, its tiny and the island in the original story is pretty big, so i wondered what they would do if they were stuck in a smaller place.
7b. If I could change three things about the story I would change
1. Simon, Piggy or the boar don't die.
2. Everyone becomes friends, follow Ralph's commands and turn against Jack and have him starve to death.
& 3. They eat "Jack" (Squidward).
8. I would change the title to.. ULTRA-Lord Of The Selects!!
And thats my Cast!!.

1. In this picture it shows Japan befpre the bombing of Hiroshima. What I see or feel in this picture is basically an everyday scheduel of a regualr person. Some go to work, go to school, or just do anything on a regular basis. Just a busy city at its best.

Abortion..

1. My stance on abortion is that its wrong to kill a fetus before its even born, because the way I see it is, that if they woman gets pregnant and she gets an abortion, it gives her more of a reason to have more sex without responsibility. Also it gives men the thought of having sex when ever he wants it.

2. "Yet another group object to abortion because they see it as a male plot. (In fact many of this group don't object to abortion; they want people to be aware that men often support abortion for a thoroughly bad reason.)"

3. That pretty much says it all, what goes through men's minds are that if the woman decides to have an abortion, they both could have sex without even having to worry if she gets pregnant because if the contraception doesn't work they have abortion. People use abortion obviously to get rid of the baby, but if you were to think twice and look at the cosequences before even having sex you wouldn't have to use abortion or worry if the women is pregnant or not.

4. "If abortion rights are denied, then a constraint is imposed on women's freedom to act in a way that is of great importance to them, both for its own sake and for the sake of their achievement.."

5. If you really want to acheive something in life without having a baby getting in the way then you should've thought twice on your decision. Now the fetus might go through an abortion all because its mother wants to have o good social life.
